Feeder was down after a database failure

Our posts database shut down unexpectedly and had to be restored from a backup. The website and apps were unavailable from 12:55 to 14:30 UTC, and feed updates, push and email caught up by 16:35 UTC. We're sorry, that was a long one, and we didn't post anything here while it happened. We added this incident afterwards from our monitoring data.
